TAEKWONDO

A typical Taekwondo class will consist of opening with condition training (basic kicks and blocks, and footwork practice), we will then merge into the lesson for the day which may vary. For beginners variation isn't much but I like to approach many different learning techniques to get the best results. In other words, in order to get the best basic front kick I would show multiple ways to get there. These learning skills will then be applied into drills, kicking and punching drills. To round out the class we go into planks, pushups, crunches of all variations depending on the day and jumping jacks. This is a typical during the week class.

Overall, everyone is different, and taekwondo with the right instructor is capable of great things.

Cheer

Why cheerleading? Cheer brings young athletes together in an exciting team atmosphere where the sum of everyone's efforts and talent are greater than the individual. This transfers into invaluable life skills! The curriculum consists of strength, stamina, flexibility and agility training to prepare our cheerleaders for tumbling, jumps, dance and stunting. We teach cheer ethics and encourage random acts of awesomeness on and off the mat.

All-star cheer is not like what you see at professional sporting events. All-star cheerleaders compete by performing a 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minute routine to be evaluated or scored against other teams. Our goal at Sound Elite Athletics is to offer a fun, athletic cheer program to boys & girls (ages 4+) in the community while promoting goal setting, mental strength and working with others.
